Excerpts:

The Influence of a Woman

"The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it". Genesis 3:12

Women have the power to influence men to become great leaders or simple followers. Eve influenced Adam to disobey God and caused great turmoil between men and women that extends to modern times. Daliah influenced Sampson to tell her the secret to his strength and she used it to turn him from God and then betrayed him. Knowing that we possess such influence gives us a certain responsibility to do what we can to support, assists and encourage the men in our lives to become all that God created them to become. Our men need us. They need us to help them through the rough spots. They need us to comfort them when they struggle. They need us to go before God on their behalf seeking mercy, grace, and favor. We have the power to influence a man meaning we have the power to influence the world. Can you imagine Obama without Michelle or Bill without Hilary? What would Abraham have become without Sarah by his side? What kind of men would these men have become without the influence of their women? The support, love and encouragement of Michelle and Hilary took Obama and Bill all the way to the white house! What about you and I? Where will our men be due to our influence? Will he be on the road to success and living a Godly lifestyle or will he begin questioning his manhood and wondering whether he is adequate enough?

God's Girl Lesson: God's Girl uses her influence to support the men in her life to acheive their God given goals.

The Wilderness

"For forty years—one year for each of the forty days you explored the land—you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you"Numbers 14:34 (NIV).

The amount of time that you spend in the wilderness is up to you. The wilderness is the place where you feel dissatisfied and discouraged. It is a place of hardship and challenges. It's the place the sucks the energy and motivation out of you. The wilderness is the destination that you often reach before you get to your destiny. Your actions and attitude will dictate the length of your wilderness experience. The Israelites wandered around in the wilderness for 40 yrs on a journey that should have taken only a few days. Why did the trip to the promised land take them so long? Their attitude and ungratefulness kept them from getting to the land flowing with milk and honey. God sent his chosen leaders to deliver the Israelites from slavery. God mapped out the plan on how to get his people to the place of blessings and freedom but the Israelites didn't see God's hand in their situation. They begin complaining against their leaders. They were ungrateful concerning God's provision. They even thought about returning to Egypt to live as slaves again. Consequently, their wilderness experience was extended and lasted longer than it was originally planned. Whenever you arrive in the wilderness, please remember that God led his people to the wilderness and already has a plan to get them to the promised land. Don't allow how you feel or what you think about your situation extend your wilderness experience. Let God take the lead on this journey because he is the only one with the correct map.

God's Girl Lesson: God's Girl refuses to complain about her situation. She realizes that God is with her wherever she goes and trusts that he has the perfect plan that will lead her towards her destiny.
